I got my IDOL (Chetan Bhagat)

I Got My IDOL

I was in search of some1 whom I can call as a role model finally after months of search I came to conclusion  that “ The Chetan Bhagat” has everything that’s needed in a person who could be my  IDOL . Let me tell you some facts about him I mean something which every1 should know about his IDOL Chetan Bhagat was born on 22nd April 1974 in New Delhi, India. After finishing school at The Army Public School in New Delhi, he joined IIT Delhi. He completed a post graduation course from IIM Ahmedabad.
He worked as an investment banker and lived in Hong Kong for eleven years before moving to Mumbai. He is married to Anusha, whom he met at IIM. The couple have twins Ishaan and Shyam.

The beauty (Anusha) and the Geek (Chetan Bhagat)

U wud be wondering how could I call my IDOL a geek , I don’t mind calling my IDOL a geek coz he is a geek accepted and he has transformed himself from a geek to a personality to adapt the requirements of the present society in the above pic u can see how he looks like with those perfectly spherical glasses lol….he was a geek but its history the fact is he is now my IDOL he is not my IDOL coz he is very successful as an author I have been reading his columns in Times Of India which where so fantastic and finally I read wat he said at Symbiosis his thoughts wo so charismatic and so influencing that I am living life following his commands i.e. “Don’t be serious be sincere”

here are some of the links which u can read and i assure u wud njoy readin them …..and u will start following this Geek….;-)

See wat he said when his “Two States “was released while releasing  he said he is 90 percent entertainer and 10 percent reformer. His book – an autobiographical tale about an inter-caste love marriage – was launched by

//

//

Minister of State for External Affairs Shashi Tharoor.

“But after seeing Shashi Tharoor taking time out to release my book and working so hard at the same time, I will become 20 per cent reformer and 80 per cent entertainer. If we could have 20 Shashi Tharoors in parliament, India would be a different country. He is the only minister who tweets and remains so closely connected to the country’s youth,” Bhagat said.

“Anyway, Bollywood, like writing, is always more fun than politics. I will stick to scripts, movies and newspaper columns for the time being,” he said with a laugh. However, Bhagat feels “he is already political in a way”.

“I tell 500 people how to do their job better everyday. People are inspired by me. Even if 10 people do it – that makes a difference and I succeed in my mission to change the system,” he said. Bhagat’s new book takes off on his own marriage to a Tamil Brahmin. ‘2 States…’ is the story of my marriage and I have dedicated the book to my in-laws. I think this is the first time any Indian writer has dedicated a book to his in-laws,” he said.

“The book is funny and completely different from Five Point Someone, One Night@ the Call Centre and 3 Mistakes. I did not want to write about friends any more,” Bhagat said. 2 States… is about Krish and Ananya, who are from two different states of India. They are deeply in love and want to get married. But their parents do not agree. To convert the love story into a wedding, the couple have a tough fight ahead of them.

“Indian love marriages are not easy. It’s not just the boy and the girl who fall in love. Everyone – both their clans – have to fall in love. In the end, the boy and the girl start questioning whether there’s anything more left to it and even fight. But it’s important – at least for me – what parents think of your marriage,” Bhagat said.

“My wife read the book and loved the female lead, who is modern, liberated and educated. India is opening up and parents are learning to accept love marriages despite prejudices about caste,” the author explained. Bhagat has several offers from Bollywood for his new book. “It’s always easy to cast boy and girl in Bollywood than friends. The director has to look for the right people to gel as friends. But this story works,” Bhagat said.

Bhagat feels his best stories are “those drawn from his own life and experiences”. “The more personal the book, the more unusual and funny it becomes for me. People relate to it better because they know me – my wife, my twin boys and how I left my job as an investment banker to write,” Bhagat said.

As for the language – “seven editors worked on the book”. “I believe that the language should be colloquial – a popular fiction has to be a dialogue with the people on the streets,” he said. Bhagat is inspired by novelists George Orwell and Ayn Rand.

“I like Orwell’s social observations. After reading Ayn Rand, I felt capitalism was the best option in this work. But that was long ago,” Bhagat said. Publisher Rupa and Co is aiming to sell 10 lakh copies in 10 weeks.

“We have also kept the price unchanged since his first book in 2004. Its still Rs.95. The price of milk has gone up, but Chetan Bhagat’s books are still priced what it was five years ago,”….lolz

I will add some more unknown facts about him till then God bless us all ….;-)

The Obama’s visit to India

It’s D-day finally. And Indian airport authorities are still clueless about when ‘the President is coming’. All they know is that flight movement will be suspended six minutes before and after his flight lands. Special measures have been taken at the Mumbai airport for the VVIP visit.

India Inc that was all gung ho about the President’s visit is now saying they have little expectations from the visit as Obama is struggling with his political and economic issues back home.

Assocham Secretary General D S Rawat and industrialist Rahul Bajaj are rather sceptical. Rawat says the Americans are complaining about outsourcing because it will make the Americans complacent; while Bajaj says “He(Obama) wants us to buy defence equipment from them so that it can generate jobs there, he wants us to open our markets, so that they can sell their products here but what are we getting in return?”

The Maharashtra politicians are upset with all the security demands going on for the Obama visit and have decided to boycott him.

In another part of the country, locals in Kanpura village of Ajmer are all enthused to video-conference with the American President. He is scheduled to talk to them about how technology can help in developing their village.

Obama’s schedule also includes a memorial event at the Taj soon after his arrival, besides the interaction with some Oberoi-Trident staff and a few guests injured in the attack.

In general, President Obama will have business, anti-terror and youth on his agenda, while building sinews for Indo-US ties.

Instrumentation Engineers may be the reason of your” UNEMPLOYMENT”

The reason to write this topic was an incidet that happend yesday….
A guy came to us and he asked “wat is this instrumentation engineering enginering all about”…..
one of ma frend give him such weird examples of wat he could do after becomin an instrumentation engineer.
After listening to the examples given i wud hav neva opted for instrumentation engineeirng……
lemme clear all our myths regardin instrumentation engineering…….

here it goes……

After our cet….ppl with good marks in CET have many options like

  1. EXTC.
  2. COMPS
  3. INFT
  4. Biomedical
  5. Chemical
  6. Mechanical
  7. Electronics
  8. Electrical
  9. Instrumentation

(NOTE: The sequence mentioned above is the preference by ppl with good marks in descending order…i mean ppl wit highest go for EXTC or Comps and ppl with less marks normally opt for one of the three mentioned at the bottom)

Now i would like to clear some things which i feel is necessary to be cleared before making my point.

The only two universities in maharashtra that are worth investing are

  1. Mumbai university
  2. Pune university

To add to this i wud like to say….doing Instrumentaion engineering from Mumbai University or Pune University is much better than doin EXTC from ….other Universities ….i wudn’t take name of any university.

Its a fact tat one really needs a Seminar to understand “Scope Of  Instrumentation”……coz the scopes are so wide ranging from a small factory …..shopping malls to as big as nuclear reactors……everyone needs an instrumentation engineer.

People taking Instrumentation Engineering at Advantage.

Question is how ….?

The answer goes like this ….the number of students opting for instrumentation engineering counting from both Mumbai and Pune uiniversity doesnt exceeds more than 2750 students

While the number of students opting for EXTC in Mumbai and pune university exceeds more than 29000 students.

I am not against competition…competition is the sole to decide success….i love competitors……but from the strategic point of view…..We have less competition….and number of student to job ratio is compartively high.I am not biased and i mean it…….

Chalo !!!….some other advantage of us over others……

I wud just like to clear this thing wen u deserve a post u get it being in any field doesnt makes much difference………

Now INFT( tats IT )….job of these ppl are done by ppl of  BSc -IT and at much cheaper rates doesnt leaves much option …….This is the most booming field …..and will see more boost in the coming years……Private Institutes like NIIt much industry oriented professional……

In short i wanna say……..people of other branches like ( EXTC,Mechanical ,instrumentation,Biomedical,Electronics,Electrical) do not fear such private infestation…….

Wat an instrumentation engineer does……heres an example that will clear evrything u can do……

A master(engineer) wants his process variable(level in  tanks, flow rate in pipes valves, mixing rate, temperature, pressure, moisture, concentration and many more…..) to work within certain specifies limits and get a desired output. Now in order to control a variable u need to measure that variable….and regulate to avoid hazardous conditions. To measure and control a particular variable is the job of the instrumentation engineer.

eg;

In a nuclear reactor gettin exposed to radiations is undesired so we need some device that measures these radiations it may include photoplates…..similar to the one that led to the discovery of uranium. After observing these plates an alarm can be actuated automatically and forcing a system shut down protecting the workers and in some cases the Reactor.

With the development of new softwares like labVIEW( virtual instrumentation engineers workspace),SCADA,PLC,AUTOMATIX….etc the interfacing with the DCS(digital control system) and DAQ(data acquisition systems)….and with development of DSP(digital signal processors) the work has become more easier and more trustworthy.

I myself as an instrumentation engineer is proud and happy to part ma knowledge with u all…….

No one has suceeded without criticism…… i would be highly obliged to read anything against ma views….

Ther may be some points tat i would add to this …..very soon njoy the monsoon…..God bless us all…….!!!!!

Engineering college teacher

There are two  kinds of teachers

1: A person who really wanted to be a teacher .

2:A person who cudn’t bcome anythin so he/she becomes a teaccher….

now lemme start with a sanskrit shloka

“Guru Brahma Guru Vishnu Guru Devo Maheshwara Guru Sakshat Param Brahma Tasmai Shri Gurave Namah”

the above shloka means ….tat Guru is like brahma, guru is like vishnu and also guru is lord maheshwara………

A person who really wanted to be a teacher

  1. This person from his early stage of life wants to be a teacher ….i mean like i taught i wantd to be a engineer u thought of being something similarly he/she taught of becoming a teacher.
  2. These ppl stand so difft from the herd of useless counterparts
  3. They r intrestd in teaching i mean they njoy their profession ….respect it respect their students.
  4. These people r strict no doubt wen a person is good in somethin he ios strict abt it…..
  5. I suppose me ,u or any1 else can compromise some of their tantrums for their quality teachings……
  6. They arent always successful……they r not runnin for money……(most of the cases not always….)
  7. They r famous among the students and normally taken for granted for they r not always strict.

Many more qualities i wud ask u to add some….. so its a req to all those who read this to add points i hav missed.

Type 2 teachers……..

  1. ” In this image if the positon of the student and the teacher is swapped i mean if the teacher is male  then vice versa of the above happens….hahahahaha”

The second type  of teachers….all  present in engineering college

  2. This writing may hurt the sentiments of some ppl who wish to become a teacher
  3. Like evrywer …..here also there are exceptions…….i mean 10% of tem are dedicated remainin 90% come to college to  pass their time and waste our time .
  4. The below writing describes these 90% of the crowd.
  5. A word tat completely describes them is “LOOSER”
  6. y the f*** u ppl hav become a teacher …. u loosers  …..u know wat u dnt deserv to be called a teacher ….u waste our time and urs .
  7. If u doin this just to make money …..you suck
  8. Coz some bastard played with ur future y t hell u screwin us …..
  9. Weren’t able to get in to any company so did masters and then became a teacher….to make the most out  of it i mean ur degree…..u looser.

The time table of a teacher

There are just 5 workin days ina week and if u include all the holidays and many other festivals meetings it will sum up to 4 workin days in a week

In a day a teacher is suppose to take at max…..2 lectures and practicals

  1. Lectures

hahahahaha to start with dont unstand at times whether its a lecture or……a concept tat wastes time ….

A small story

” I asked ma frend y dont u attend lectures bro ……and y do u smoke so much…?

his answer shocked me and at tat moment i felt as if he was correct and i was wrong…..

He fired a ? to me ….” how much do u waste in a lectures”…he askd I said…”55 min approx”…..how many mins a day “55*5 min approx”……..here is ma point he said….” listen bro u waste more then 275 min in alecture….i mean tats reduced from ur life…..while smokin a ciggy reduces just 7 min from life whos at the advantage…….”

Indirectly u got the answer y engineering students smoke……hahahahaha

" they forced me to take to this"

    Param Veer chakra

The Param Vir Chakra (PVC) is India’s highest military decoration awarded for the highest degree of valour or self-sacrifice in the presence of the enemy, similar to the British Victoria Cross, US Medal of Honor, or French Legion of Honor or Russian Cross of St. George.[2] It can be, and often has been, awarded posthumously.

Param Vir means “Bravest of the Brave” in Hindi. (Param = Highest; Vīr = Brave (warrior); Chakra = wheel/medal).

The PVC was established on 26 January 1950 (the date of India becoming a republic), by the President of India, with effect from 15 August 1947 (the date of Indian independence). It can be awarded to officers or enlisted personnel from all branches of the Indian military. It is the second highest award of the government of India after Bharat Ratna (amendment in the statute on 26 January 1980 resulted in this order of wearing). It replaced the former British colonial Victoria Cross (VC), (see List of Indian Victoria Cross recipients).

Provision was made for the award of a bar for second (or subsequent) awards of the Param Vir Chakra. To date, there have been no such awards. Award of the decoration carries with it the right to use P.V.C. as a postnominal abbreviation.

Boot From A USB Flash Drive

A FEW THINGS YOU NEED TO CONSIDER IN ADVANCE.
    1. The PC has to support booting from a USB flash/pen/key drive. There may be anywhere from 1-3 items to change in the BIOS to make this possible assuming your BIOS supports it. Some bios’s may refer to your flash drive as a USB floppy or USB zip. Of course there are exceptions, perhaps some are covered here.
    2. The USB flash drive must support booting from it in general.
    3. The flash drive must contain the boot/system files.
    4. The flash drive must have bootsector area. This is done with special utilities.
    5. References to “A:” drive lines in the autoexec.bat and/or config.sys files you copy to the drive after you make it bootable may result in errors.
    6. You “may” have to format your floppy disk first in WinXP before you create a bootdisk as XP may “not” like working later on with a disk formatted otherwise.
    7. Included below is a bootable ISO of DOS 7.1 which may be used with some of these methods if you do not have a 1.44 drive.

USB guide, here I assume that you are using either Vista or Windows 7 to create a bootable USB.

    1. Insert your USB (4GB+ preferable) stick to the system and backup all the data from the USB as we are going to format the USB to make it as bootable.

    2. Open elevated Command Prompt. To do this, type in CMD in Start menu search field and hit Ctrl + Shift + Enter. Alternatively, navigate to Start > All programs >Accessories > right click on Command Prompt and select run as administrator.

    3. When the Command Prompt opens, enter the following command:

    DISKPART and hit enter.

    LIST DISK and hit enter.

Once you enter the LIST DISK command, it will show the disk number of your USB drive. In the below image my USB drive disk no is Disk 1.

    4. In this step you need to enter all the below commands one by one and hit enter. As these commands are self explanatory, you can easily guess what these commands do.

SELECT DISK 1 (Replace DISK 1 with your disk number)

    CLEAN

    CREATE PARTITION PRIMARY

    SELECT PARTITION 1

    ACTIVE

    FORMAT FS=NTFS

(Format process may take few seconds)
    ASSIGN

    EXIT

Don’t close the command prompt as we need to execute one more command at the next step. Just minimize it.

    5. Insert your Windows DVD in the optical drive and note down the drive letter of the optical drive and USB media. Here I use “D” as my optical (DVD) drive letter and “H” as my USB drive letter.

    6. Go back to command prompt and execute the following commands:

D:CD BOOT and hit enter. Where “D” is your DVD drive letter.

CD BOOT and hit enter to see the below message.
    BOOTSECT.EXE/NT60 H:

(Where “H” is your USB drive letter)

    7. Copy Windows DVD contents to USB.

You are done with your bootable USB. You can now use this bootable USB as bootable DVD on any computer that comes with USB boot feature (most of the current motherboards support this feature).

Note:U can make a bootable usb disk for Xp but u can’t create a bootable usb disk using XP

njoy withe me frens still more to come………

    god bless us all……..

    by Gyani.

Bhagat Singh (Punjabi: ਭਗਤ ਸਿੰਘ بھگت سنگھ, IPA: [pə̀gət̪ sɪ́ŋg]) (September 27, 1907[1] – March 23, 1931) was an Indian freedom fighter, considered to be one of the most influential revolutionaries of the Indian independence movement. He is often referred to as Shaheed Bhagat Singh (the word shaheed means “martyr”).
Born to a family which had earlier been involved in revolutionary activities against the British Raj in India, Singh, as a teenager, had studied European revolutionary movements and was attracted to anarchism and communism. He became involved in numerous revolutionary organizations. He quickly rose through the ranks of the Hindustan Republican Association (HRA) and became one of its leaders, converting it to the Hindustan Socialist Republican Association (HSRA). Singh gained support when he underwent a 63-day fast in jail, demanding equal rights for Indian and British political prisoners. He was hanged for shooting a police officer in response to the killing of veteran freedom fighter Lala Lajpat Rai. His legacy prompted youth in India to begin fighting forIndian independence and also increased the rise of socialism in India.

This was a short introduction about veer shaheed Bhagat Singh.Everyone of us reading it there might have liked the heroic deeds of late Bhagat Singh but how many of us wud want our kids or people whom we love to join the army to fight for the country…..i guess handfull of us…..so sad….

I wud lik to bring to ur notice an SMS that says….

” In India an Olympic shooter wins gold medal at the Olympics & Govt. of India gifts him 3 crores…..while 76 shooters who died(shaheed) fighting naxalites protecting their motherland…..the Govt. of India gives them 1 lakh each….”

    India is great……!!!!!!! indeed….

    hoping to see a change….soon

    ” Save the tigers “
i would like to start by showin some statistical information about the Tigers in India and it can be observed from the followin graph

it is clear from the above graph that number of the tigers in India are decreasing at an alarming rate.

here is a link from where u can read a magazine dedicated to all the animal enthusiasts all over the country.

    Click to access STRIPES1_nov-dec_2009.pdf

STRIPES | BI-MONTHLY OUTREACH JOURNAL OF NATIONAL TIGER CONSERVATION AUTHORITY,
A STATUTORY BODY UNDER MINISTRY OF ENVIRONMENT AND FORESTS, GOVERNMENT OF INDIA

Now the ? that arised in my mind how as an individual can i save the Tiger…am i right?

So lets understand the importance of these tigers in the ecosystem before that lets know why we need to protect them and their habitat

Since tigers are at the top of the ecological “food-chain”, their conservation
results in the overall conservation of all other species of plants and
animals occupying the ecosystem. Tigers are indicators of the well being of the ecosystem.

A healthy tiger population indicates that the other ecological components in its habitat are equally robust, since tigers need large amountof prey and good habitat.

The investments made in a project of this kind are more thanjustified. Tiger conservation results in several intangible but yet life–supporting benefits too!
    Some such environmental externalities are:

    1. Tons and tons of fuel wood are used by us which release the carbon dioxide back into the atmosphere.
Presence of a large quantum of carbon in the atmosphere due to several such emissions at a larger scale increases the “green house” effect contributing to the depletion of the ozone layer which is lethal, and hence the absorption of carbon by the forest vegetation becomes
important for our survival, facilitated to a large extent by the forest cover conserved in tiger reserves and other protected areas. Presence of continuous forest cover to a depth of about ten km impacts the climate of the nearby area (almost upto hundred km).
    2. This phenomenon is beneficial to both human beings as well asThe evapotranspiration from trees contribute to marginal increase in rainfall in the area, and becomes an additional advantage wherever the
      ground water is also sufficient.
    3. Water harvesting
The forest growth reduces the surface run-off and facilitates water
storage as well as loss of top soil due to erosion, which may other wise
lead to reduction of impoundment in storage devices. The layer of decaying organic matter on a forest floor and the root system of the
vegetation growing on it facilitate infiltration of water

    4.   Their presence adds to the aesthetic beauty of the nature.

Now how can ppl like me and u help in protecting these wonderful creatures.

    • Please realize that the living conditions in rural areas near the tiger are very difficult and it takes a long time to adapt to the local culture before being any help to the tiger. However, if you think that you have the dedication to make a long term commitment and/or have special technical skills or background to help the tiger on-site, please contact various NGO’s which are in to protecting them
    • Informing nearby forest officials if u know of any poaching activity taking place in ur locality.
    • Don’t ask for products that are made from their bones and skin.
    • TCM ( traditional Chinese medicines)<<<< which claim to be the solution for all ur medical problems is now scientifically proved to be wrong.

” I myself as an animal enthusiast would try at ma level to protect these mustached creature….hahahahah…..and one more thing….saving the tiger alone will not help ……we need to save the tigress tooo….lol  ;-))”

eagerly waitin for ur comments …..

    god bless us all………..
